Stuck in Pennsylvania

Hi guys, been awhile since I’ve posted since the site got changed around a bit but I figured out how to run this thing so here goes.

First off, most if not all of my old posts have returned! So if you want to stroll down memory lane, now is the time. I have posts from clear back in Feb 2003! Whew! So check it out and have a ball!

In other news I have stopped keeping my trucker journals out of me being tired of doing it so I am going to just do normal style blogging from now on. Plus since I have mobile internet now, I have no need to keep a monthly journal since I can just post here whenever.

Oh and we will be back in Iowa on Friday just in time to see Dark Mirror in Cedar Falls so if you want to go, I suggest you do it.

Straight Outta Hell

Well, I know nobody had faith in me anymore but I finally did it. One week ago to the day I quit my job at walmart. So there. Told ya I’d do it. I was just late (imagine that). But true to my nature I may not be on time but I do get it done. Eventually. As for my next adventure in being employed, I am currently waiting on word from the insurance company that I can be covered. As my next job will be parking cars at the hospital. Not exactly a dream job but it’s better than being un-employed or where I was. It’s the same money, minus the drive, plus tips. So I’m happy. Just waiting. But nothing wrong with that. It’s nice to have nothing to do for a week but relax. But it would be nice to know when money will start flowing again. lol

Almost went to the Mo-Kan rally this weekend (down near Kansas City) but it was just too cold for my taste. Plus no-one showed interest in going. And I don’t know when I start my new job and I’m nervous about spending money. But it could have been fun, I’ve never been to that rally before. But I’m sad now because that means the rally season is pretty much over for this part of the states. The only one left that I would ever want to try to go to is the pilgrimage to Italy (Texas) but it’s late in the year and it would be weather permitting. Plus it would have to be a four day weekend or so to make it there and back. But it still sounds fun.

Went to Waterloo twice this week, once to get tickets from Alonso for the Megadeth show in Milwaukee and the other to check out Triumphs. The first trip was slightly more productive than the second. Brandon, Charles, Paul, and I went for the first trip and got a private concert by Dark Mirror in their practice place. Cool. Got a few new songs rolled out for us which was great. I swear they get better and better every time I see them. It was totally cool and can’t wait for the Megadeth show on Wednesday. Plus it’s always cool hanging out with Chucky and his dad lol. The second trip was Paul and I on our bikes. We got to the dealer right as they were in the process of closing up. But we still snuck in a bit to look at the bikes and dream. Wanted a test ride but apparently someone crashed a bike and the insurance company put their foot down on test rides. But that’s ok, I’m fine just looking. I really want a Triumph Thruxton but not enough to get rid of my Goose. So I’m not getting one. For now. The Triumph isn’t fast, comfortable, or really that usefull. My Goose can do everything that bike does and better. But I like the coolness of the Triumph so I’d still get one, but only as an addition to the bike family and not a replacement for anything.

Thanks go to Zach and his family for the cool gathering last week. It was alot of fun staying up until morning lol. Shooting guns and eating BBQ and trashing bathrooms (ask Gatsby). Still haven’t put the mufflers back on the Goose. I think I’m growing fond of being annoying. Paul must be contagious lol. Also had fun on Thursday hanging out with Chad and Tracy in Muscatine. Went for a nice Goose ride and some Pork chops for supper and a viewing of Cabin Fever. Perfect movie for eating to. So thanks for having me down folks.

Not much else to talk about for now. Just thought something should be here. I haven’t posted recently as much as I’d like to but I just never have enough to talk about. But I have things in the works so you’ll see. Especially now that riding season is winding down so I won’t be on the bike nearly as much lol. But I’ll still be riding. Cause I’m hardcore like that.

And Yet More Time Has Passed……

Hello everyone. First of all thanks to all who voted for Dark Mirror in their contest. They didn’t win but that’s ok. Who wants to open for Godsmack anyway? Devildriver wouldn’t even do that! Might ruin the old “metal cred” lol. Who cares! Godsmack are mediocore. Dark Mirror has bigger news. They will be opening for MEGADETH! I’ll post more on that as it nears for it won’t be until Sept.

With this week comes the anniversary of my bike wreck once again. I usually write some kind of post about how it seems like it was just yesterday or some crap. But I don’t feel like it this year. Too much on my mind anymore. But yeah, four years.

Rode up to Elkader on Sat with Chad and Paul. That was fun although attendence seemed to be down. Beautifull day though. Chad got his first St.Olaf loin as well as first trip to the Iowa Guzzi rally. Too bad the attendance was down but we still saw alot of cool bikes and a few familiar faces. Just not as many as I usually like to see.

Also, finally got to see the Transformers movie. Overall I found it enjoyable but there were alot of overdone “Bay” moments. Like if Armeggedon had robots in it lol. But it was still funny and well put together, unlike what the new “Underdog” movie looks to be, which is crap. Now if I can just get to see Live Free or Die Hard I’ll be set.

And in yet more un-related news, I have a three day weekend coming up for as yet unknown reasons and am deciding on what to do for it. I’ll let you know what I decide. But if the weather is decent, I’ll more than likely end up riding somewhere. BTW, Moto Guzzi’s are LOUD with the mufflers removed. Just ask Chad lol.

Well, see you later everyone. As the cooler minority folks tend to say, “I’ma gonna bounce y’all!”

24

Yup, it’s now officially my birthday. I’m gonna go celebrate by working all day and then going to Brandon and Emily’s party. Then working every day through the fourth of July. Maybe I’ll have some time to relax on the fifth:P

And when I get time to sit down and write, ROBOFAN is coming. Look forward to seeing ROBOFAN lX: An Inconvinient ROBOFAN and ROBOFAN X: Pure Evil. Both coming soon as well as the ROBOFAN Remastered series wich is basically where I re-post the old stories so you don’t have to look for them. Think of it as a stop-gap until the ROBOFAN page is completed.

Also, thanks to Gatsby, Brandon, and Gatsby’s Crazy Uncle Ted for coming to Sutliff earlier tonight for my birthday supper. It was funsorz:P

Later fools

Six Days Till III

I just have a question. I suddenly have the greatest urge to get a new car, new job, get in shape, move out, and get a girlfriend. Is it because I have suddenly become motivated? Or is it because my five year high school reunion is coming up in August?

A Man With Nothing Ain’t Got Nothin’ To Loose

Well, I started slinking down the mainpage again so I thought it should be time to post once more. Work has taken alot of my time and sanity lately and on my days off I either lounge and sloth or go outside and enjoy not being at work so my internet time has suffered. Plus my aol is kicking me off fairly frequently again so it pisses me off which limits my online time as well. But enough babbling.

What’s new in BoBoland? Well, since I have vowed not to bitch about work, I’m not going to. Instead, I am going to rejoice in the fact that I have the weekend of the 20th off. There are three things I want to do on that weekend and I don’t know how exactly that will happen yet, but I plan on seeind Eric Sardinas live, go to my cousins graduation party, and go to the Illinois Moto Guzzi Rally in Oquaka. So if anyone wants to meet me there or join me or whatever, get a hold of me and we’ll have a Guzzi of a time. I’m also planning on attending the Iowa rally in July which is the national rally this year, and the Wisconsin rally in August. Possbly stopping by the Minnesota rally as well depending on when I have to work. Also if I play my cards right, I will be seeing Exodus in Cedar Falls this week:P

I am still waiting on band news since the band I am trying to join is taking the summer off for various reasons but I will continue to practice over the summer and I will let everyone know what happens. I did jam with them once and I think it went over well and I had a blast.

Link of the week this week is trucksgonewild dot com. Check that shit out;P

I bought some new things this week and they come highly recommended. They are:

1. Rebel Meets Rebel CD

2. Hank III Straight to Hell CD

3. The Devin Townsend Band Synchestra CD

4. Richard Cheese The Sunny Side of the Moon CD

5. Dimevision Vol. 1 DVD

666. Dio Holy Diver Live CD

7. Demons and Wizards Self Titled CD

Go out and buy these things in no particular order.

The new Lacuna Coil …….. doesn’t suck? It kind of sounds like a more melodic Korn with a chick singer. It’s no Comalies……

That’s all for now. And as for the National Anthem, Sing English or Die:P

Party On, Chad!

Hey Chad. http://money.cnn.com/2004/12/16/pf/autos/pacer_auction/index.htm?cnn=yes

Chad and I have a debate going on. He thinks the car in the movie Wayne’s World is an AMC Gremlin. I say it’s an AMC Pacer. I am right. He is wrong. If you doubt me, check the above link. If you still doubt me, look it up. Do a search on movie cars or Wayne’s World and you will find plenty of info. Better yet, do a search on AMC:P The Gremlin and Pacer are quite different in appearence so it’s hard to get them mixed up.

On to other things:P

Welcome to Wal-Mart, Eat Shit And Die

Hello everybody. I’ve been a busy little bobo and haven’t really had time to think of anything to write about. I’ve been very busy at my new job setting up the store for the grand opening wich happens later this month. I’m trying not to make a whole post where I just rant about how work sucks and how everyone I work with is unbearable and how it’s just a gigantic uncontrollable miscomunicated clusterfuck there. So I will just say nothing more about work other than it feels like brainwashing part of the time and a concentration camp the rest. Luckily I have plenty of Venom to listen to when I get home to cancel all the brainwashing drugs they put in the 40 cent pop machine.

So, yeah. I guess I’ll post about something fun next time. Hope Kari is having fun on her trip. Happy birthdays to Tracy and Brandon. Congrats on the new place and job Chad. Good to hear you are doing well Torin. Welcome Dr. Jones. And where did Gatsby’s Crazy Uncle go? Haven’t seen him around lately.

How Come You Never Smash the Stick of Margerine on Your Forehead Like You Used To Anymore?

Hey Everybody! I have lot’s of tiny news tidbits for you all once again.

First, Hammerfall is lending it’s song “Hearts on Fire” to the Sweedish Women’s Olympic Curling team:P They even made a whole new music video for it. I have to see that. Go Metal Olympics!

Plus the biggest news, Cedar Rapids is getting multiple locations of America’s Favorite Drive-in! That’s right people. Muthafukin Sonic! *Does the bobo happy dance* And at least one of them will be going on top of what used to be the Be-Bops place. Talk about sweet sweet irony.

I’ve been watching the Barrett Jackson car auction on tv, and to my suprise the biggest seller of the day yesterday was not a Shelby, not a big block Corvette, or even a big block of any kind. It wasn’t a Ferrari, it wasn’t a Rolls Royce or Mercedes. What was it? Well, unbelievably it was an Amphicar. Yeah. A bone stock fucking Amphicar. You know the half boat half car that is a terrible car and an even worse boat? Yeah. $115K for an Amphicar. I can’t believe it. At least it came with an anchor and paddles:P

I picked up the new Simon Winchester book about the san fran earthquake and I can’t put it down:P

Also I might get a job at Wal Mart:P

I’m having a brain fart right now or I’d post more. But I promise something new will be up in the next couple of days. I’m thinking of writing more fiction. It might be robofan, it might not be. But we shall see:P
