The Battle of the Buldge Finnished!

Yes it’s that time again to bore you all with my song lyrics that no one likes:P As the title implies, my tribute to the WWII battle known as the battle of the buldge is now finnished. All it took was an empty afternoon with the history channel on, a documentary about tanks, and a thirsty muse and my song is now complete! I love the H! lol So that is song number one for today. I shall call it Bastone.

Song number two, I can’t remember if I posted before. I probably did. But just incase I didn’t, here it is again. This song was written imediately after Dimebag Darrel was murdered last December but I don’t remember ever posting it. So here it is (again? Maybe, I don’t know:P). Either way, I wrote it, I mean it, and I didn’t like it at first but it grew on me and now I love it. I’ve got a melody for it and everything so look out:P Gitcher pull! This one is called No Time.

Song number three, I know I never posted because I just finnished it (though it has been a work in progress for some time). It is the song known as Murderocity wich manifested itself as a weird dream one night and it turned into a song. See the post of the same name back in the archives:P

Song number four, and the last one for today, is another song that has been finnished for awhile and I’m not sure if I posted it before, though I’m sure I haven’t:P Anyway, I wrote this last November or so and if you don’t know what it’s about you can probably guess if you know me well enough:P It is called 3 Times Betrayal.

Enjoy!

Christmas Over

Yup, Christmas has come and gone and now the countdown begins for new years. Hope everyone got what they wanted from santa this year. I got a sawblade with a mountain scene hand painted on it which is awesome, a new handheld video poker game, some M&M’s and cashews, a pack of socks, an Iron Maiden “Killers” hoodie sweatshirt (thanx Kari), a few gift cards (sears, best buy, McD’s), and some cash. Not too bad for a year where everyone I know is broke. Speaking of broke, that’s me too, so alot of people got hand made christmas cards from me this year. I love doing it anyway so being broke was a good excuse to make some fun things. If you haven’t gotten one from me yet, you probably will soon. I haven’t seen everyone yet to hand them out.

I haven’t gotten alot of feed back about the diet challenge thingy so I’m just assuming either every one is busy or doesn’t want to do it and that is fine. I’m gonna scale it back abit since I found my points system to be cumbersome, confusing at times, and just generally flawed. So I’m cutting the points system out completely. It will be just up to raw weight loss because I don’t want to deal with adding all the points and keeping track of it, especially if not many people will be involved. It will still be from Jan 1 to Jul 1, but it will just be about weight loss now. And like I said, anyone can join the game at any time, people who start the earliest have a big advantage though:p And you can loose the pounds any way you wish be it diet, excercise, pills, surgery, whatever. If you do have surgery there will be an asterix behind your name though:P Also, if anyone is bashfull about their weight and or measurements, then I will appoint Connie as an impartial score keeper. For those that do not want weights known, only your final percentage of weight loss and your placing within the game will be revealed. So how does that sound? Do you guys like this any better?

But regardless, I plan to take part if anyone joins me or not. We should all strive to be healthier anyway regardless of the circumstances behind it. I’m already starting to plan my course of action which, for now anyway, seems to involve cutbacks on portions of food, severe cutbacks on candy and pop, changes of diet, as well as regular three times a week weightlifting, and regular every day biking, hiking, walking, or running. Plus I want to try to get a place set up for my drums so I can start playing again because if I’m gonna get in shape, I might as well improve my thrash drumming while I’m doing it:P I really hope I stick with it this year, and that is also why I hope lots of people follow me down the road to better health. Because every one of us say we will get in shape every year, and it never happens. Well this year, if we all work together, it finnally will. So come join me. And everyone is welcome to come biking with me, or walking or lifting weights because we could use the company and motivation. And any excercise is good. If anyone wants to go frisbee golfing, or bowling, or take a trip to the driving range, whatever I’m in:P Let’s get some shit done this year people! lol

So yeah, 2006 is gonna kick ass. My goals is to get in shape, get in a band again, if I have money or time take guitar and or banjo lessons, and last but certainly not least is get working again and god willing find my own place. But moving out is the least likely just because of the level of brokeness I live in, and the level of cheapness this place is. But at the same time, I need to get out of here. It’s gonna be fun though:P Already planned for 2006 is Connie’s bankruptcy hearing, Dad’s divorce hearing, my (finnally) accident suit with the insurance company, and there will always be more. But fun stuff already includes the 2006 Moto Guzzi National Rally in Elkader, IA, and possibly a trip to the south west to visit Zach. So here’s to 2006! It’s gotta be better than 2005!

Roadrunner United and other topics

Hello again. Just another random updates post. It has been said that Ronnie James Dio will play the part of “Dr. X” in Operation Mindcrime II. He’s also in Eddie Ojeda’s solo album. And supposedly on Ian Gillian’s “Gillian’s Inn” release. And don’t forget the Tenacious D movie coming this summer starring Dio as himself. Man, he is freaking everywhere:P Along with that, he’s writing a new album, and there are a few new re-releases and dvds out or coming.

Jack Black was on Conan O’Brian last night, funny shit. He’s hosting Saturday Night Live this week with Neil Young as musical guest. Check that shit out. Plus a little movie named King Kong is out now, just in case you didn’t hear.

Speaking of movies, I saw Narnia. Thought it was wonderful. Well done.

What else. Oh, I saw some dumb celebrity type on tv and she was talking about how un-domesticated she is. And that she put the wrong soap in the dishwasher and totally filled her kitchen with a bubble bath. This made me think about how we don’t have a dishwasher. And then I thought about all the people before me who didn’t have indoor plumbing and had to wash dishes in the creek. And then I thought about the people before dishes. What would all these people say today? Better yet, what will we complain about 50 years from now? “Back in my day, we had to watch tv on a plasma tv and we only had HD! All we had was iPods and blackberries and Xbox 360! Hell, we had to eat our food off of a dish! With forks and knives! So be thankful for what you have you little ingrateful bastard!” Just makes you think a little.

Roadrunner records had their Roadrunner United concert last night in NYC and it looked pretty freaking awesome. I have posted the setlist here. Check it out. A who’s who of metal indeed.

The e53 Health Challenge

Hello everyone:P Snowing like a bitch out there tonight. Wish I was moving to AZ now too:P

Anyway, I have an important announcement to make so read up! I am officially declaring a challenge to any and all e53 members, friends, family, total strangers, and hell, anyone who reads this. I am starting a contest that will run from Jan. 1rst to July 1rst of 2006. I am calling it (in order not to sound like a biggest loser clone) The e53 Health Challenge. Like stated earlier, anyone can participate so long as I know about it. The main goal of this challenge is weight loss. Participants will be weighed on Jan. 1rst and again on July 1rst and periodically inbetween if I feel like it to measure progress. The person who loses the biggest percentage of total body weight will have won. But to throw a cog in the process, points will be awarded and subtracted for a few certain things like quitting smoking or drinking, joining a health club, running in a marathon, etc. I don’t have a point system up yet but when I do I will explain this further. Also, I am considering having a poll to ask strangers who they think made the biggest improvement in their health and the winner receiving more points. I don’t want the contest to just be about weight loss, anyone can loose weight. I want it to be about health. You can be fat and healthy to an extent. But you have to show effort to gain points. Like I said, I don’t have it all worked out completely yet so let me know if you have ideas, questions or concerns. Also, let me know if you want to take part before Jan 1rst so I can include you. I am going to do this myself either way, but I’m just interested to see how many people would be interested in this as it would be good for all of us. But I will keep you all informed either way.

So to re-cap. Everyone is invited to take part in the e53 Health Challenge. It starts on Jan 1rst and ends July 1rst. There are no rules for the weight loss although if you have weight reduction surgery or cut off a limb, there will be an asterisk next to your name in the record book:P Points will be added up according to the percentage of weight loss during the period. Bonus points will be awarded for such things as quitting smoking and other healthy things. Also there will be a viewer poll and points will be added for that as well. Points can be subtracted as well, like if you start smoking:P Also I may have a few challenges along the way, and at the end of the contest for points as well.

So leave your comments here and let me know your ideas and if you want to take part. The official weigh-in will be at the new years party where ever that may be. Substitute weigh dates and locations will be allowed for special circumstances, like if you can’t make it to the party or if you live a long ways away. The contest ending will be at my birthday party wherever that will be. So good luck to you all and let me know if you want to do it. And even if you don’t wish to take part, just think about becomeing more healthy on your own. There are no loosers in this contest. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I don’t know what the prize will be yet, so if you have suggestions or donations for that let me know as well. But if anything, do it for your own health and bragging rights.

Until next time, stay alive.

Also, RIP Richard Pryor.
