Ozzy vs Maiden Pt. 2

Well, I’ve updated the last post so much, it is getting too long to read without getting cramps. So here is a new post for the Ozzy vs Maiden subject. All the latest updates on the war will go here. Once again, sorry for beating the dead horse for this one, but this is just the highest form of metal blasphemy I have ever seen. Someone will pay for all of this.

On to the metal…..

Updates on 8-24 twice, a long one on 8-25, 8-27 early am, and 9/06.

Ozzy vs Maiden?

I don’t fully understand what is going on right now, but evidently according to several sources, Sharon Osbourne tried to sabotage Maiden’s set on their last date of Ozzfest recently. It is rumored that tentions have been high between Dickinson and Sharon all year so far since the begining of the Ozzfest. Starting with rumors of anti-Maiden t-shirts being sold at concessions at the first Ozzfest. Then with Bruce ranting about Ozzy, and American audiences wich supposedly pissed Sharon off. So then in retalliation, Sharon supposedly sabotaged Maiden’s last Ozzfest show. And now Ozzfest’s website is also supposedly removing Bruce Dickinson photos from their page.

Now I don’t know if all this is true or not, since I don’t completely trust Blabbermouth, but, if it is, and it sounds like it is, this is total bullshit. Iron Maiden are legends. Metal gods. They deserve respect and instead they get shit on because of Sharon’s greed and ego? C’mon! She booked Wicked Wisdom! And worst thing of all, people from abroad are looking badly upon the U.S.A. for this! For starters, Bruce and Sharon are both from England! Second of all, Sharon does not represent what Americans believe in. There are many Maiden fans out here that want to see them and are pissed off about this.

But anyway, I’m rambling again. After the Somerset cancellation, the bad choices of bands, the ego and the money, I am done with Ozzfest. I will see Maiden. I will go overseas if I have to, but I will see Maiden. I will not waste my money on Ozzfest again. Or Ozzy for that matter. Ozzy and Sharon are not metal. Washed up has been/never was at best. I respect the music, but the people behind it are shit. I hope Tony Iommi says Fuck Off to Ozzy and just does solo stuff from now on. The Ozzy-Sabbath legacy died in the mid-seventies. We are just too nostalgic about it.

But anyway, the whole article from Blabbermouth follows with the link. There is no quiz of the day, and I’m sorry for this not being a ROBOFAN story. I’m too mad to write that now.

In non-related news, Dimebag’s birthday was Saturday. You are missed brother. You were a true metal hero, and those are far and few between these days. May your spirit live on in every true metal fan and musician.

Also, I’ve said it a million times and I’ll say it again, Dark Mirror are classy fuckin’ dudes and you should all check them out:P

Anyway, on to the entertaining new war between Iron Maiden and Ozzy’s leach $haron.

Updated on 8-22 twice, and 8-23.

God Damn You Ozzy Osbourne!

It saddens me to have to be the bearer of bad news, but it appears that Ozzfest in Sommerset, Wisconsin has been postponed due to Ozzy’s vocal problems. The tentative re-scheduled date is Sept. 10th. Unfortunately I doubt Iron Maiden will be there because of an already booked european tour. Which means unless someone really cool shows up, I for one will probably not go. I pretty much just wanted to see Maiden. I really hope they will come back. Fingers are crossed. Other than that I will save my money for Priest in Moline on the 2nd of October. Not much info has been released about this news yet, ticketmaster so far shows the concert going on as-scheduled, however the local Minneapolis radio station, Blabbermouth.net, and the concert promoter have all came out and said that the show is postponed at best, cancelled at worst.

Why they couldn’t have just let Maiden do a full headlining set and skip Sabbath is beyond me. Of course I blame the postponement on the fact that Arch Enemy is a cursed band. Every time we have set out to see them at a concert, they either don’t show up, or we don’t. The saga continues….

But of course this means that I will be able to enjoy the full extent of the Wisconsin Moto Guzzi Rally this weekend, which I was going to cut short to see Ozzfest. But since that isn’t going to happen, I’m just gonna relax all weekend:P Of course, everyone is welcome to join me. Free Lienies on tap:P Wine and cheese:P Moto Guzzi’s:P

In other news, aw fuck it, I’m pissed. No more news for you. In fact, no quiz of the day today either. I’m gonna go to bed now.

P.S. I’ll save a spot for y’all at the rally:P

Frisbee Dreams

Yeah, no reason for the title of this entry, other than I think dreams are kind of like frisbees. The frisbee, not unlike a dream, floats through the air, seemingly unstoppable, but soon it looses altitude, faster and faster until it unavoidably crashes into the ground. Some are caught, most by people who are not you. But even more crash to the ground. Especially if you play frisbee like I do, cause I have no one to play frisbee with, so I just throw it, and it lands and I run and get it, and throw it back. Not much fun. So most days I just end up watching tv instead. The worst thing about frisbees and dreams, is that you never really fully understand just how fast they are falling until they hit the ground. However, frisbees and dreams are fun things, so long as you understand that neither will last forever.

How about that for an upbeat and entertaining way to start off a post!? C’mon in!
