Bubble Wrap Rocks!

Happy National Bubble Wrap Appreciation day everyone! Doesn’t bubblewrap rock? It’s so addictive to sit there and just pop it. Hell yeah, that’s the stuff.

It’s almost as satisfying as, rubbing one out after a long day at the office. Or taking a nice healthy shit. Or pissin outside. Or eating an entire bucket of ice cream. Or leaving a half mile long burnout with a 400 hp Monte Carlo. Or getting your first tittie rub at the strip club. Or seeing Dio live.

But anyway, speaking of bubble wrap. I started back to work full time now. The first time I’ve worked a full eight hour day since the 17th of July, the day before the accident. And I went back to my old job for half the day. I picked for the first half and boxed in the postal line for the second half. Yay, I’m on the road to not being crippled anymore.

And in other news, I have officialy stopped the useage of crutches and canes. I walk under my own power now completely. I worked all day today, on my feet, with no cane. I feel so speacial.

Thanks also go out to Zach and Brandon for taking me to Sevendust last Saturday night. Even though I have absolutely no money, Zach bought me a ticket, and Brandon drove. It was a fun show with opening act Ill Nino. And Zach even bought me breakfast at Perkins the next morning. Awesome.

So yeah. I hear rumors that Judas Priest will be on Ozzfest this year. And Ozzy says he’s headlineing the show. And Slipknot, Hatebreed, Damageplan, and Velvet Revolver are all also supposed to be there. Might have to go this year:P Judas Priest are better than all of those other bands:) I’d go just for them, and mabey Ozzy since I haven’t seen him live yet, and Damageplan. The rest I don’t care for.

Well, that’s all I got for now. This has been my update. Peace out!

Iced Out?

I had a thought today watching really boring television. I saw a comercial for Disney on Ice at the US Cellular center. And it came to me. Why aren’t there many shows performed on ice? Is it because we don’t have many scaters anymore? Is it costly to do? Or is it too dangerous? Well, if the answer is dangerous, I think we should do more shows on ice.

Here’s some examples of good shows to do on ice:

BoBo’s Bookclub

I thought since reading is good, that I’d make it better by starting a book club. C’mon, Oprah’s got one! Why can’t I?

So here it is. Well, these aren’t real books, but they should be:P This is a list of childrens books that you should read to your kids. They may thank you later:)

1-Cat in the Blender
2-Herbert the Pervert who likes Sherbert
3-Fox in De-tox
4-Who Shat in the Hat?
5-Horton Hires a Ho
6-The Flesh Eating Lorax
7-How the Grinch Stole Columbus Day
8-My Colon Can Moo, Can You?
9-Zippy the Rabid Gerbil
10-One Bitch, Two Bitch, Dead Bitch, Blue Bitch
11-Are You My Proctologist?
12-My Pocket Rocket Needs a Socket
13-Aunts in my Pants
14-Oh the Places You’ll Scratch and Sniff
15-Horton Fakes an Orgasm
16-The Grinches Ten Inches

I can’t remember where this came from. It was written in my middle school notebook and it was too long ago to remember where this came from. But it is safe to say that it was probably George Carlin:) And if I wrote it and can’t remember, then you can use it in your routine if you want George!

BoBo’s Garage! Dodge Ram SRT-10

It’s been awhile since I’ve done a BoBo’s Garage segment. But as a service to my loyal fans out there, I thought I’d bring it back since cars are getting more interesting again. I know hardly anyone reads these (judging by the coments anyway) but I’ll try to make this entertaining for you:)

This month, two columnists from Car and Driver were assigned a road test of the new Dodge Ram SRT-10. Wich if you don’t know, is a Ram 1500 short box, fitted with a Viper powertrain (V-10, 6-speed manual, 500hp). Sounds good to me:)

The two columnist however, are two who notoriously don’t get along. One being Brock Yates who is a retired race car driver and one of the participants in the infamous Cannonball run coast to coast race (yes, it was a real race). The other is John Phillips who is always complaining about cars that aren’t sophisticated enough. So it was interesting to say the least, to read what these two thought of the truck.

Basically it is a series of emails that they sent each other so a lot of name calling is done. I think it’s hillarious. So here it is. From the Feb. ‘04 issue of Car and Driver, the road test of the Ram SRT-10. Or, Point and Counter Point with John and Brock!

Murder-ocity?

Can someone help me? I had this really weird dream right before I woke up this morning and it’s been bugging me all day. I just can’t figure out what the meaning of it was, if there was a meaning at all.

For some reason, I was watching Headbangers Ball on MTV2, and the host introduced the brand new video from a death metal band called Murderocity. I don’t know if there really is a band called that, or if its a made up dream name. Anyway, the video started with a really dark empty room. Then the band slowly walked foward so you could see them in the darkness.

All the members of the band had their hair spiked up like the kid in Good Charlotte, and their faces were painted all gothy. But none of them had instruments, they all just stood there in a row. And they all had black crowns on with candles burning in them. Weird.

But then the music started. It was Elvis. ‘All Shook Up’ to be exact. And then they all started country music line dancing. And all the people in the band were fat, except for the ’singer’ who was kinda skinny.

It was by far the wierdest dream I’ve had in a while. Could someone explain this to me!? Am I fucked up or what? I think it might have something to do with the fact that I’ve been listening to alot of Elvis at work thanks to a guy who works next to me who is infatuated with him. Also it could be a subliminal hint of MTV’s trying to popularize metal. Just think, a boy band that plays death metal! I’d shoot myself.

Anyway, thats the dream. Help!

Forbidden

Here’s some new song lyrics that I’ve written in the last few days. It’s a never ending process for me. It just keeps coming out, but since I’m never satisfied, I keep changing and improving them and they never seem to get done.

Anyway,. today I have an old song from the early days of Tribulation called “My Light”, and then a new song called “Forbidden”, hence the title of this post. Also thrown in here, is a song inspired by the war in Iraq called “You’ll Never Find It (WMD)”.

So enjoy all you BoBo fans out there:)

Zakk Wylde Speaks Out

Here’s Zakk Wylde’s opinion of the Rolling Stone Magazine’s list of the top 100 guitar players of all time as posted on Blabbermouth.net. In case you don’t believe me that the list is flawed. I think Zakk is qualified enough to say something about this subject. Since he too was left off the list and he is fucking awesome.

———————————————————————-
OZZY OSBOURNE guitarist Zakk Wylde recently spoke to Sleaze Grinder about Rolling Stone magazine’s much-criticized list of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time.

“Put it this way,” Wylde began. “When Eddie Van Halen is number 70 and Randy Rhoads is number 85, I mean, bottom line is I have to play Randy Rhoads’ shit every night. I idolize Randy Rhoads. I still got posters of Randy Rhoads in my garage right now, in my weight room. I carry them on the bus. I love Randy Rhoads to death man, so I mean, the whole thing is just like, I’ve got to play Randy’s shit every night. Last time I checked, Joan Jett can’t play fucking ‘Mr. Crowley’, you know what I’m saying?

“You’ve got to laugh at the thing,” Wylde continued. “I mean, Joe Satriani isn’t in there. Steve Vai isn’t in there. Yngwie Malmsteen isn’t in that fucking list. Slash isn’t in there. They are some of the sickest guitar players that have ever walked this planet. I mean, I’m a guitar player. Do you know how good fucking Yngwie is? It’s beyond fucking sick. The fact that Yngwie isn’t in it is just fucking mind-boggling to me. People can say what they want about Yngwie, but it’s just like naming the 10 greatest singers of all time and not putting Pavarotti in it, you know what I’m saying? Yngwie is a virtuoso.

“Obviously Jimi Hendrix is going to be the patron son of guitar, like Babe Ruth. No matter who hits more home runs than The Babe, The Babe is going to be, you know, The Babe. But the thing is, Jimi Hendrix couldn’t play ‘Spanish Fly’ or ‘Eruption’. Technically. I’m telling you. Flat out. Just couldn’t do it. Jimi got a bunch of gear that nobody ever had before, you know what I am saying? So, he was able to do it before anyone else, and I understand that, but Eddie brought it to a whole other level technically.

“As far as I’m concerned, Eddie Van Halen should be number one. And then Randy Rhoads would have to be in the top three or top five. He’d have to be.”
———————————————————————

So don’t take my word for it. Well established guitar legends are saying the same thing I am:P

Top 100 Guitarists of all time?

Rolling Stone came out with a list of the 100 greatest guitar players of all time a while back. I don’t agree with it at all. Now, there are some great players on this list that is for shure. And most all of these people are great indeed. But they left out some awesome players, whose inclusion on the list should have been mandatory. And some of the players, should be higher or lower on the list in my opinion. Of course I am partial to metal though. If this were a list of the best metal guitarists of all time, there would be real problems with the list.

Anyway, heres the list, starting with number 1. Jimi Hendrix

Life is Far Too Brief

Why do people kill themselves? Is life really that unbearable? I mean think about it. It’s your own fault if life sucks that bad. Everyone has the power to change their lives for the better. You just have to give it time and try your best. If you sit around and do nothing, nothing will happen. You can’t loose sight of the future.

This post is basically regarding a 19 year old former schoolmate of mine named Adam who shot himself last Saturday night. Information is sketchy at this point as the paper said nothing except that he had died in his home. But I know his family and most of his friends so I know what happened. I’m pretty sure he shot himself in the head cause it is a closed casket funeral.

I know this is one of my rare serious moments, but I’m just trying to understand why someone would kill themself. This person didn’t graduate highschool, and was working at a bail bond place in CR. His parents never were married and his father never did claim him. He has been living with his grandparents for as long as I can remember. Not the most glorious life, but it wasn’t horrible.

He had lots of friends and was a pretty funny guy. He did alot of sports stuff and hunted quite abit. He also loved his motorcycle, even though he never got his liscence as far as I know. I never really knew him well (he was a grade below me in school) but he seemed to be happy. Maby that’s part of the problem. He repressed his anger. But we will never know.

I think the thing that put him over the edge, was a drunk driving charge that he got recently. Being underage, I can’t imagine it was very good. He was set to loose his job and having no highschool education, he probably assumed that his life was over.

Now, I’m not looking for any sympathy or anything cause I barely knew the kid. The point of this article is to try to get people to realize that it ain’t that bad. Sure, you are dead, and no more problems and shit. But look at all the heartbreak and suffering you put on your family and friends that care about you. Somewhere down the line, someone will feel like it was their fault. From what I hear, his grandparents and his girlfriend are taking it pretty hard.

So if you ever think about killing yourself, just think about it. It’s not worth it. If you try hard enough, you can accomplish anything you want. Look at me. I don’t have that much to live for. But every day I wake up and go through the paces just like everyone else. Cause I know with a little hard work and some luck, I’ll find happyness. Happyness isn’t necessarily money, or friends, or even family, or nice things. Happyness is different for everyone. For me it’s a great group of friends and I don’t plan on losing any of them any time soon.

So on that note, have a nice day:)

2004: The Year of the BoBo!

I’ve decided that this year, I’m not going to have New Years resilutions or whatever. I know alot of people do it, but I’m not gonna. Instead, this year, I have a ressurrection. I am bound and determined to have a better year than this last one.

2003 sucked ass. Between me getting hit by a car, spending twelve days in the hospital and five months at home with no money and nothing to do but sit and heal. Chad getting sent to Iraq and getting hurt. Missing almost every major thing I had planned for the second half of the year (Metallica in St Louis, Iron Maiden/Dio/Motorhead in Chicago, drag races in Cordova, Wisconsin Moto Guzzi ralley, Jones County Fair, etc etc). And family trouble up the ying yang (great grandma got backed over by a car in parking lot, uncle having heart attack, grandma diagnosed with bone cancer, me almost dying, dad still not being able to get dissabillity, etc etc). The list goes on and on.

But on the other hand, 2003 had it’s good moments. No-one in my family died or any of my close friends. My band Untitled played it’s first and last show in our machine shed outside my house. My band Tribulation played it’s first two shows (the first right after untitled was done with just me and Paul, the second being fourth of july weekend with me and brent in our other machine shed.) Brandon, Brent, and me played a Metallica cover band show after Tribulation and Foodstamp in our shed wich rocked and it was a blast. I got closer to alot of good friends (you know who you are) and further away from old ones (once again, you know who you are).

Also in the positive side of ‘03, was the purchase of my new motorcycle (even though it lasted only a little more than a week). The starting of my new job and the quiting of my old one. All the kindness that was showered apon me by everyone after my accident. Getting closer to my family after my accident.

Making it to two ralleys (Illinois Guzzi Ralley, and the Elkader Guzzi Ralley). Making it to see a few awesome concerts (saw Dead and Dreaming/Trogdor four times, saw Godsmack with Brandon, saw Slayer with Putz and Zach). Saw a few friends get closer to their dreams (Zach moving to McGreggor, Paul finnishing school in Wyoming to be diesel tech, Gatsby making it alive out of Mount Mercy). The birth of the immortal ROBOFAN story saga. The consumtion of ,I think, four St Olaf tenderloins. The news that Rob Halford is rejoining Judas Priest. The capture of Saddam.

But the best thing of all to come out of 2003 is probably my page (hey, it’s my list dammit!). I have a place where I can spew my random thoughts and babblings thanks to Zach and everyone else here. This page helped pass the time when I was laid up, and keep up with friends that I don’t see everyday. As well as meet new ones that I hadn’t seen before. I don’t know what I’d do without my blog now.

So here are my plans for 2004. It’s not a resilution cause I know this will happen or I’ll die trying:)
