Christmas Aftermath

Well, Christmas has come and gone. Not as much fanfare this year for me, but it didn’t suck too bad either. Dad promises that next year will be better but he says that every year.

Anyway, I ended up getting a new Timex Iron Man watch from my brother, a $25 gift card to Sears from my uncle Randy (wich I used to buy dad and my grandma christmas presents), a Cabela’s beer mug from Zach(tanx Zach!), and a copy of Dio’s Holy Diver album on Vinyl from Brandon aka Bloodpig. BTW, Brandon wins the award for the coolest christmas gift I have ever gotten so kudos to him! Now all I gotta get is a record player:) So yeah, that’s what I got.

I feel bad though, cause I’m a giver, and I don’t think I gave enough this year even though I got close to nothing. I got my grandma and my mom both keychain flashlights, I got my dad some christmas decorations for next year, and I got Zach a green ash tray (wich Zach loves to death I hear). But thats it cause I just can’t afford anything this year. Next year will be better though, I promise:)

Anyway, just thought I’d post something since Gatsby bitched about it. But I’m too tired to think of anything new to write about so this is all you get. I did pick up some new CD’s this weekend at CDGB’s with Brandon (thanks for spotting me, I’ll pay you back Friday). I got two Fight CD’s wich, for those that don’t know, was one of the Metal God Rob Halford’s other bands after he left Judas Priest. It’s not his best work but it’s pretty heavy. I’d recomend his solo band Halford over Fight cause they have a similar sound, but Halford is cleaner and just better. The musicians in Halford are just amazingly good.

Look for a new Judas Priest CD this spring as well as a Box Set and the 2004 30th anniversary Judas Priest reunion tour. I already have the recently released DVD Electric Eye and it rocks. 2004 is the year of Rob Halford and Judas Priest. I just hope he doesn’t quit making Halford albums cause it is some heavy shit and good at that.

I also picked up Deep Purple’s latest album ‘Bananas’. Great CD, the songs kind of just flow out. It has an array of styles from bluesy mellow songs to plain old heavy classic rock. Good buy. Make sure to listen to the song ‘House of Pain’ and ‘Picture of Innocence’ as well as ‘Bananas’. Great album, it’s sad that this band doesn’t get the recognition it deserves. They were one of the best bands I’ve seen live. You can’t beat that sound, with the keyboard and harmonica thrown in there as well as Ian Gillian’s screaming voice, and one of the greatest guitar players in the buisiness. Deep Purple is the shit!

Anyway, now I’m just babbling. Have a happy new year and I’ll be back soon with new posts. Got alot of ideas so stay tuned. I mean it this time.

Happy Holidays From Cooncreek, IA!

The staff here at BoBo’s Blabberings would like to wish you and all of yours, a merry christmas and a happy new year!

Grandma was too sick to do anything today, too sick to even eat anything according to grandpa, so I stayed home with dad and my brother (mom had to work) and had dinner. We had some hickory smoked ham and taters. Nothing fancy, since we is poor ass bitches, but it’s christmas so I don’t give a shit.

We don’t have a tree, or any lights on the house, or any presents, or anything in our stockings, or so much as a christmas cookie, but we have each other and that’s what christmas is all about. For us, it’s watching National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and stuffing our faces with ham. Mabey next year will be kinder to us, but I’m not gonna complain cause it could always be worse.

Hope your christmas was better than mine.

Five Month Update

It’s been five months now since that fateful July day that a white Buick changed my life forever. So I guess this is my five month stattus report. Leg’s still broken. Though I am making alot of progress with rehab. I am down to using just one crutch and most of the time at work and at home I don’t use the crutch anymore at all. It still bothers me after long periods of rest or if I stand on it too long, but I am doing pretty well considering the severity of the break.

In other news, I still have not recieved a single penny from Mr Parmenter. But my “mastiff of a lawyer” as Gatsby put it, is working hard on my case.

News Flash! Earthquake Strikes Mexico!

This just in to the e53.org news desk….a huge earthquake measuring 8.1 on the richter scale has struck Mexico late last night. Early figures from Mexico estimate 150,000 dead, and millions injured. The entire world is shocked at this trajic turn of events in Mexico.

The whole world is helping out in anyway they can. Canada is sending down it’s millitary to help contain the massive rioting and looting. All of Europe (except France) is helping out financially. The red cross has been sent and survivors are being pulled out of the rubble as we speak.

Not to be outdone, America is sending 150,000 replacement Mexicans.

In other news, the turkey plant is hiring:)

God bless America!

Doo-Boo-Quay

Just a funny Blonde joke that I read. I’d warn the blondes not to read this, but if you are blonde, chances are you can’t figure out how to open the page anyway.

WWIII on September 11, 2001

A while back, Bloodpig did an article about how Slayer’s album ‘God Hates Us All’ came out on Sept. 11, 2001 and it was overshadowed by the tragedy that transpired on that day. Well I found an even lesser known album from a far lesser known band that deserves some recognition, even though I’ve yet to hear it. (Brandon, we need to go to CDGB’s now!)

Afraid of Fear

Here is a couple of more songs that I’m working on. One called The Lone Assassin and the other called Afraid of Fear. Let me know what you think:) The lone assassin I wrote one night thinking about snipers and looking at all of dads guns and his wish to be a sniper (that or it was just an excuse to write ‘ass’ a whole bunch of times). Afraid of Fear I wrote after watching ‘Bowling for Columbine’ wich I still think everyone needs to see. It is a truly great documentary.

So lets move on with the show!

You Snood You Loose

I am really really bored. I’m kind of getting scared I’m so bored. You know that feeling when you know you should be doing something but you can’t think of what. And then you just kind of start bouncing off the walls of the house and spinning the cat round and round by his tail. You start eating things like banana peels and cardboard just because you’ve never tried it before. Just for fun, learn how to order a big mac in arabic, and then go to burger king and use that line to see if they can even tell. God I’m fucking bored.

Anyway, I end up on this little information box alot when I’m bored. And that’s where the stupid little games come in. I’m not much for the new video games that are out nowadays. I grew up on Intellivision and the original Nintendo, and even the latter never really appealed to me. But for some reason I get hooked on the stupid little dumb games. Have you ever played Minesweeper until your eyes bled? How about two hours straight of Spider Solitaire? Pinball? Hyperball? How about Snood?

Bowling For Site Updates

This is my post concerning things that I’ve been up to lately. I haven’t posted much about myself what with parade mockerys, song lyrics, and ROBOFAN (I promise that there is a new chapter of ROBOFAN in the works so hold your horses Gatsby).

Basically this post will cover music and movies that I have heard/seen lately that I like. Books that I’ve read. Plus updates from my pathetic little existence.

So lets dig in shall we?
