Meow!
I had a cat scan today (get it?) ’snickers’. God I kill myself with my never-ending witt.
Anyway, the whole thing sucked and I won’t even know the results until Thursday.
I had therapy this morning at 8am and then I had to try to be at the hospital in Cedar Rapids by 9:30. We did make it there on time, but, as luck would have it, we parked on the wrong side of the hospital. So I had to walk with the damn crutches all the way across the hospital to the desk we had to register at. Then, we had to walk back the way we came almost all the way back where we were to begin with to the x-ray place.
It wouldn’t be until 11am that I would have my cat scan but in that time I was supposed to drink this stuff that makes my innards show up in the scan. I had to drink two cups of this stuff, one cup every half hour. By ‘this stuff’ I mean shit. It was this white, chalky, heavy liquid that had the worst after taste I ever experienced. Somehow I managed not to puke but it was a challenge.
Then I went into the little room to get the actual scan. At least the nurse was kind of hot:) I had to have an IV put in so they could pump me up with dye. That stuff is weird! It makes your whole body feel warm and it leaves a funny taste in your mouth (like I needed any more funny tastes in my mouth).
They took a whole bunch of pictures that took all of a half hour to take. Then we got to go home. I have an appointment on Thursday and that is when I’ll know how I did. The tests are basically to make sure my spleen healed up all the way after the accident and I hopefully won’t have to have surgery. The worst part is they charge you an arm and a leg for torturing people like that.
Also, the other bad side-effect of the chalky stuff, is it seems to not react well in my stomach and I have to go to the bathroom quite often wich isn’t that fun on crutches in the first place.
Anyway, that’s all the updates for today. Tune in for the next update on Wednesday after I see my surgeon about how my leg.
By the way, I hope I come back negative from the cat scan. If they find a cat in there, I heard it’s real hard to get them out without scratching the shit out of you:)

It’s alot better if you try to down it in one gulp rather than prolonging the misery by drinking it slowly. Good idea though.

The only thing it made me feel is wierd. I just felt really warm all over. Made me want to shit more than piss:)
